Tainan Chimei Happiness Factory; 台南 奇美食品幸福工廠

Hello, this post is going to review our personal opinion on Chimei Happiness Factory! So if you are interested in visiting it, please feel free to continue reading it, if not you can explore other attractions in our blogposts as well! Here we go~

Chimei Happiness Factory is located at Tainan city, its pretty convenient to reach the destination by public transport (and its free!!) at Tainan THSR station (details will be provided later). This factory generally focuses on pastries like pineapple cake, buns and they even have beef bak kwa! Furthermore, they provide a fun & innovative concept such as DIY classes (this includes self made pineapple cake, special occasions pastries etc) as well as life size models of fruits, steaming machines for the buns that you can try and experience it (its safe! Esp when you have children). Below are some of the photos that we took while we are walking around the museum. OH, there are also eateries and cafe, so you don't have to worry that you have nothing to eat! (or drink)

Through our previous experiences in Taiwan, we have learnt that whatever thing that you are going to do, if they have a reservation service, you must do it, in order to secure a place hahaha! So yup, we did book our DIY pineapple cake session before we head to Taiwan, all you have to do is to enter your name and number of pax attending (maybe time slot too)! During the session, the pastry and the pineapple is already made for you, so all you have to do is to follow the teacher’s instructions to combine them both into one and they will bake it for you. Each person get 6 pineapple cakes, and while waiting for the cakes to be baked, you have to make your own boxes too! You can decorate in whatever ways that you like with the provided crayons. Personally, I feel that this is a very good bonding time for children and parents! Be it a holiday, vacation or a weekend activity for families to come together. Well besides that, you can make some friends too because 4 people will share a table (hopefully you get someone friendly beside! hahaha). Of course, not to forget, their pineapple cakes taste really good.

On the side note, when you purchase the tickets, you will get 2 free pineapple cake too! This is what I love about Taiwan, they just give only HAHAHAHA

How to get there

Tainan THSR station → Take bus H31 for 2 stops  (towards Tainan City Hall) → alight @ Tainan airport stop → location is on your right, walk for 1 min.

One thing to note for the free shuttle bus is that, you cannot board the bus from any bus stop towards Tainan City Hall anymore. However, you can take the opposite side of the same bus (any bus stops) back to THSR. Yup, i find it weird too but thats the rule!
